Pastor John Go is serving at Fruitland First United Methodist Church in his 4th year of ministry.  John, with his wife Mia and their daughters Grace(4) and Gloria (Three months old) have lived in Fruitland since the summer of 2007. He was born and grew up in South Korea. John went to seminary in Korea from 1993 to 2002, and graduated from Drew Theological School in New Jersey in 2006 with a Master of Divinity degree.

 

He had experienced and served in many years and many different settings before he came here for serving two churches in Fruitland and in Nyssa. He mainly worked with Youth for several years and had many camps and group activities with them. Also, he had been strongly involved in campus (college & university) ministry. In short term, he served for 2 years as an Army chaplain assistant in South Korea and for 1 unit term (3 month, full-time) of C.P.E. (Clinical Pastoral Education) as an intern-chaplain in Rutherfordton Hospital in North Carolina.

John likes learning in many different parts and areas around his life. So, he has been very enjoyed to sing in Choir of Fruitland church and recently being interested in gardening and fishing(So far, his biggest is 7 lbs Catfish in Snake river).
