Rev. Jorge Rodriguez Vasquez
is our Pastor at Fruitland United Methodist Church, appointed in summer 2025. Pastor Jorge has been in Christian ministry for 42 years, serving for the last 25 as a United Methodist pastor. Since 2022, he has served as a member of the Oregon-Idaho Board of Ordained Ministry. He is a proud husband, father, and grandfather.
Although Pastor Jorge preaches in English, he grew up in Honduras, and his first language is Spanish. He is a music enthusiast who enhances worship with singing and guitar, and also plays various other instruments, including the saxophone.
Most weeks, Rev. Rodriguez can be found at the Fruitland United Methodist Church Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, from 9 AM until 2 PM. On Thursdays, he works with Hispanic Ministries of Ontario, Oregon.
